- What does Silk Foods Ceylon do?
- We are a certified organic food factory in Matale, Sri Lanka. We manufacture food and wellness products to your specification: contract manufacturing, private labelling, co-development, co-processing, co-packing and R&D, across powders, liquids, vegan foods, supplements and more.
- What can you actually manufacture?
- Across 10 production lines we make spice and herbal powders, dried fruit and vegetables, non-dairy milk and cheese, vegan proteins, juices, spray-dried powders, capsules and retort-packed products, filled into pouches, jars, bottles and glass. If it fits a food-safe line, we can usually make it.
- Do you work with new brands and smaller runs?
- Yes. Through co-development and R&D we take an idea or a kitchen recipe to a manufacturable product, then scale it up. Exact minimum order quantities are confirmed per product on your quote, so ask if you need a trial run.
- Which certifications do you hold?
- GMP, HACCP, FSSC 22000 and BRCGS, with USDA Organic and EU Organic: the standards retailers and export markets ask for. Certificates of analysis are available on request.
- Can you handle packing and labelling too?
- Yes. Co-packing covers pouches, jars, bottles, vacuum and form-fill packing, plus labelling, date coding and export-ready cartoning, whether you bring finished goods or we manufacture them for you.
- Where are you based, and do you export?
- Our factory is at Silk AgTech Park, Hapugasyaya, Matale, Sri Lanka, with an adjoining organic plantation. We serve Sri Lankan brands and international buyers; for export-logistics-heavy work we coordinate with our sister company, E-Silk Route Ventures.
