Overview
Whole green Ceylon cardamom pods harvested and dried with the seeds sealed inside, preserving the spice's sweet, intensely aromatic essential oils until they are cracked or crushed. Whole pods are used in rice and biryani, curries, mulled drinks, pickling and chai, where they infuse slowly and can be removed after cooking. Offered in bulk and for private-label packing to food manufacturers and retail spice brands.
